Cool, refreshing, and with a delicious twist, this Sparkling Basil Olive Oil Lemonade is a summer favorite in our kitchen. Infused with the bright flavor of fresh lemon and sweetened with honey, it gets an unexpected upgrade from our Il Fusti Basil Olive Oil, which adds a smooth, herbaceous depth. Try it with sparkling water for a light, bubbly treat!
1 tablespoon of Il Fusti Basil Olive Oil
Juice of 2 lemons
1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup
Fresh basil leaves
250-300 ml of Still or sparkling water
Ice (fill as much as you needed)
In a shaker, combine Il Fusti Basil Olive Oil, lemon juice, honey or agave syrup and a few torn basil leaves.
Shake well until the mixture is combined.
Fill a glass with ice cubes.
Strain the Il Fusti Basil Olive Oil and lemon mixture into the glass.
Top up with still or sparkling water.
Stir gently and garnish with a basil leaf and lemon slice.
